Oprah Winfrey

I never felt comfortable with religion, but I always connected to the ideas behind the Jewish faith. The eve of Yom Kippur, our time with ourselves and with our God to check if our thoughts and actions are in the right place and if it is the right direction for us. We are not free from mistakes, and sometimes our thoughts are not at their peak either, but experience is important, taking the first step towards a significant step, towards self-acceptance, towards forgiveness, the one step that will change us to be a little better. The woman who broke through all possible glass ceilings and redefined breaking boundaries for women as well as for men. Oprah had the worst starting point, she could have been a homeless person or someone who relies on social security. Oprah was born to young and very poor parents and went through several foster families until she arrived at a boarding school, from where she was thrown out due to a lack of beds. At a young age she went through several cases of rape, got pregnant unwanted, and gave birth to a baby who suffered from health problems and died two weeks later. Despite these hard events, Oprah hosted the talk show "The Oprah Winfrey Show" from 1986 to 2021 and her fortune is estimated at 3 billion dollars today, she is very involved in promoting social agendas and donates a lot of money to philanthropy.
