The subject of the painting and the entire painting process are involved with a great deal of emotion. All the women I have painted so far are women I felt connected to in one way or another. Whether for what they achieved or did, or whether for the way they went to achieve it. Each drawing begins with a pencil sketch, then paints with watercolors and finally adds color and emphasis with acrylic markers. The choice of vivid and strong acrylic colors allows me to convey the richness and power that women have in general, and those women in particular.
